To put your capabilities where your heart is! I have spent 25 years in Motion Design, in the US and EU, worked for Agencies, Studios and Productions all over, have met great people and friends.
Now is the time to make the next move, to put my Capabilities to use for something (more) meaningful. I do not care if its the most profitable or not, I want to leave a footprint of having tried my best within my capabilities.
I have been thinking about the right name for what I am doing. Like when I invented the term Motion Design, which was a no-brainer since the development of Motion Graphic Design into a new realm was already obvious when the Internet took off, I was just lucky to coin the term by reducing it a bit (getting rid of Graphic..). Now it is a household name for all designers, and I am happy what it has turned into!
With this personal relation to the term Motion the addition of another mobility name was just too stupid (Mobility Motion Design?)), so I decided to just call it Motion Design 3.0 for now (with tongue in cheek). This sounds a bit pompous, but it nevertheless is the way things have developed.
